MSF Experiential Learning
Put Finance Into Practice
Experiential learning is an integral part of the Notre Dame MSF experience. Through hands-on financial modeling, professional development, and opportunities to engage directly with finance firms and industry professionals, you’ll apply what you learn in the classroom while building the technical skills, relationships, and perspective that prepare you for your career.
Experiential Learning Options
Grow Irish Experience
Grow Irish is an integral part of your Mendoza graduate business experience. Held twice a year—mid-October after Mod 1 and early March after Mod 3—these intensive, one-week courses build in-demand skills for the marketplace.
Financial Modeling
This hands-on workshop teaches students to build a dynamic, three-statement financial model from scratch in Excel. Students develop projections, supporting financial schedules, scenario and sensitivity analyses, and discounted cash flow valuations, then apply their modeling skills to stocks in the Fighting Irish Capital portfolio.
Meet the Firm Events
Connect directly with finance professionals and Notre Dame alumni through MSF Meet the Firms events. Students gain exposure to firms and career paths across the finance industry while building relationships, learning from professionals and expanding their networks.
