Management (MSM)

See the whole picture. Find where you can make a difference.

Business problems rarely belong to one discipline. The Notre Dame MSM pairs broad business fundamentals with a specialization you choose, taught by faculty who prepare you for a career with career opportunities across industries and paths to leadership.

A young woman in a white button-up cardigan and a young man in a bright yellow Notre Dame quarter-zip pullover sit at a small round table in a high-ceilinged building lobby. The woman types on an open laptop while both laugh during their discussion. Colored pennant banners hang overhead in the background as other students walk through the softly lit indoor commons space.

What You'll Learn

Build a foundation across the major disciplines of business, then develop specialized expertise through a concentration aligned with your interests and ambitions. Throughout, strengthen the communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills that help turn knowledge into career opportunities.

Build a Strong Business Foundation

Every MSM student begins with a shared business core that builds essential knowledge across finance, analytics, marketing, strategy and leadership. Through hands-on coursework, you’ll strengthen your ability to solve complex problems, communicate effectively and lead with confidence.

Learn Through Real-World Applications

Business is learned by doing. Through consulting-style projects, case work and experiences like Grow Irish Week, you’ll solve real business challenges, connect with industry leaders and build your professional network.

Develop a Specialized Expertise

While building a strong business foundation, you'll tailor your degree by choosing one of three career-focused concentrations. Whether you're interested in technology, strategic leadership, or nonprofit management, you'll gain specialized knowledge that aligns with your career goals.

“The people make the place. You may come for a master’s degree, but you will leave with so much more.”
