About the Angrick Family

The Angricks

Bill Angrick and family established the Angrick Military Scholars program to attract outstanding military veteran leaders for Notre Dame’s MBA program to positively impact their peers on campus and prepare them to make an even greater impact on society through a career in business.

Bill received a bachelor’s degree in business from Notre Dame in 1990 and an MBA from Northwestern University in 1995. He enrolled at Notre Dame on a Naval ROTC scholarship and served as a third-class midshipman aboard the USS Nassau amphibious assault ship following his freshman year. Over the past 30 years he has served as an entrepreneur, investor and advisor in the e-commerce, business services and non-profit sectors. Bill’s wife, Stephanie Angrick, earned a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and a DDS from the University of Maryland. Stephanie’s father, Robert Naticchia, served in the U.S. Marine Corp and instilled in her a great love of family, country and service. The Angricks are parents to Will and Matt Angrick. Will earned his bachelor’s (2025) and graduate (2026) degrees from the Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business and was a decorated member of the Fighting Irish men’s lacrosse team. He currently resides in New York and works in healthcare investment banking. After high school Matt founded and currently operates a vintage clothing and collectibles business, Augzz.com, headquartered in Cape May, NJ and resides in Flagler Beach, FL.

Robert F. Naticchia

Robert Ferdinando Naticchia, the father of Stephanie Angrick, is the namesake of the Angrick Military Scholars’ Naticchia Fellow. Robert was born November 6, 1942 in Camden, NJ where he grew up as a multi-sport athlete at Woodrow Wilson High School surrounded by his extended immigrant Italian family. Inspired by his father Ferdinando’s journey to America from the Abruzzo region of Italy, Bob’s patriotism and love of country led him to apply for the Marine Corps upon graduating from high school at age 17. His mother objected, but undeterred upon turning age 18, Bob officially enlisted in the Marine Corps. Thereafter, Bob graduated second in his class from the Naval Aerographer’s Mate School and his technical navigation skills supported Navy and Marine Corps aviators. During his years of service from 1960 to 1965 Bob served tours in Cherry Point, NC, Lakehurst, NJ  and Okinawa Japan.

After retiring from the Marines, Bob took a risk to start a business and worked tirelessly, including completing evening business classes at Rutgers University, so that his young family could have many opportunities to live a better life. His small business eventually thrived and he lived the American Dream. His efforts were rewarded many times over as he sent four children to top universities, two to Notre Dame (Robert ’95 and Liza ’01), and gave them the values to succeed in life. Bob was a devout Catholic and loyal Notre Dame fan.  As a proud father and grandfather of Notre Dame alums, his life and deeds epitomize the “God, Country, Notre Dame” mantra upon which the Angrick Military Scholars Program rests.

A Proud Tradition

Notre Dame has been teaching students how to be soldiers since the administration organized student military groups into the Continental Cadets in 1859. Students and alumni of the University have served in every U.S. military branch and every major conflict since the Civil War.

The University’s proud tradition includes serving as the home to one of the nation’s largest ROTC programs outside of service academies and military colleges.

In 2017, Notre Dame established the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs to expand its support for University-enrolled veterans and their families, active-duty and ROTC students and those who are dependents of service members.

MBA Military Veterans Club

The Notre Dame MBA Veterans Club is one of the largest and most active clubs of its kind in the country.

The club’s mission is to serve as a professional and personal networking resource for potential, current and former Mendoza MBA Military Veteran students and to exemplify the tenets of servant-leadership within Notre Dame and the local community.

The club’s vision is to help veterans and current military members transition to business school and prepare them for success in the next stage of their professional journey.
