The Instrument Equations Built
Professor David Hartvigsen has proposed a concept for an optimally designed electronic musical instrument, aiming to minimize finger movement while playing scales. This innovative idea stems from Hartvigsen's background in optimization research and his experiences with an Electronic Wind Instrument, which he found easier to play than traditional brass instruments. His findings appear in the European Journal of Operational Research, where he presents mathematical proofs for more efficient fingering techniques.
